FAQ
What should I expect during my first visit?
Our goal is to provide the highest standard of care that is balanced and patient-focused. Only by listening and working with you and tailoring the management to your specific needs would we achieve these objectives. Therefore, each person is thoroughly assessed and management recommendations carefully considered and communicated. What are the consultation fees?
Information on our current fee structure is available from our offices. Payment is accepted by EFTPOS (debit and major credit cards) and cash. Payment is requested at the time of consultation. You are entitled to a partial rebate from Medicare for your consultation if you have a valid Medicare card and referral. Aged Pension card holders will receive a discount on the standard consultation fee. What do I need to bring with me?

Where does Mr Carlos Chung see his patients?
Mr Carlos Chung sees patients in his private consultation rooms in East Melbourne, Mulgrave and Geelong. A consultation fee is charged, which is only partially reimbursed by Medicare. In cases where payment of this fee is difficult, Mr Chung provides services through the outpatient clinic at The Alfred Hospital, at no cost to the patient. However, the public hospital system does not guarantee that Mr Chung would be involved in your care. Does Mr Carlos Chung see Work Cover or TAC patients?
Mr Carlos Chung does not see Work Cover or TAC patients. Public Patients
Public (uninsured) patients who are offered elective surgery at pubic hospitals are added to the public hospital waitlist. Waiting lists at the public hospitals are subject to the respective public hospital. Our private rooms cannot control the waitlist at the public hospitals and therefore cannot advise on waiting list times. |
